This Quick To Make Pulled Pork Nacho Recipe Is The Absolute Nacho Recipe

With football season in full swing and the holidays around the corner, we just had to share this great party dish.

These Pulled Pork Nachos are festive, tasty, AND really easy to make. In fact, if you start with premade pulled pork, you can have this ready in under 10 minutes.

Seriously though! All you have to do is pile the pulled pork on the chips, add your toppings, and bake it for 5 to 7 minutes.

To add a little flare, you can serve it up with some additional toppings: shredded lettuce, ranch dressing, and of course, coleslaw. Because coleslaw is pretty freaking awesome!

 

Place pulled pork over chips.

Add on the red onion slices.

Sprinkle on your cheddar and Monterrey Jack cheese, and drizzle a couple tablespoons ( 2-4 depending on taste) of BBQ sauce on top.

Bake for 5-10minutes until cheese is melted. Add optional toppers and serve immediately.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 (8-10 oz) bag of tortilla chips
  • 2 cups prepared shredded bbq pulled pork, or some of my famous (Best Crockpot BBQ Chicken)
  • ¼ cup thinly sliced red onion.
  • 1 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Monterrey Jack cheese, shredded
  • 2-4 Tablespoons BBQ sauce
  • Optional topping: 2-4 Tablespoons of ranch dressing
  • 1 cup of coleslaw
  • ¼ cup shredded lettuce

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Spread chips out on a prepared baking sheet. I used parchment paper, but you could also use foil.
  2. Place pulled pork over chips.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup plus 2 tbsp. All purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 3/4 cup plus 2 tbsp sugar, divided
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs, plus 1 large egg yolk, divided
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350° and butter and flour a 9″-x-5″ loaf pan. In a large bowl, whisk together 1 cup flour, baking soda, and salt.

  2. In another large bowl, combine 3/4 cup sugar, melted butter, buttermilk, vanilla, 1 egg and egg yolk and mix until smooth. Pour wet ingredients over dry and stir until combined, then fold in mashed bananas.

  3. Make cream cheese filling: In a small bowl, stir together remaining egg, cream cheese, and remaining 2 tablespoons each flour and sugar.

  4. Transfer half the batter to prepared pan. Dollop cream cheese filling on top and smooth in an even layer with a spatula. Top with remaining batter.

  5. Bake until deeply golden and a toothpick comes out clean, 1 hour. Let cool at least 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Ingredients

2 poblano peppers, seeded and sliced
1 medium onion, sliced
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
One 4 1/2-pound bone-in pork shoulder
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
4 jalapeno peppers, sliced
2 limes, zested and juiced
1 orange, zested and juiced
For serving: corn tortillas, sliced radishes, pickled jalapeno slices, pico de gallo, hot sauce, lime wedges and fresh cilantro leaves

Directions

Preheat the oven to 275 degrees F.

Put the poblano and onion slices in the bottom of a heavy pot. Mix the cayenne, cumin and a pinch of salt and pepper together in a bowl, then use the mixture to season the pork shoulder. Put the pork on top of the vegetables. Add the chicken broth, jalapeno slices, lime zest and juice and orange zest and juice. Cover and cook until tender, 4 to 5 hours.

Turn the heat up to 450 degrees F, remove the lid and cook until the surface crisps slightly, 15 to 20 minutes. Remove the pork to a board and let it rest until cool enough to handle, then remove the fat and shred the meat with 2 forks.

Strain the vegetables from the sauce and set aside. Put the meat in serving dish, add the vegetables and pour over some of the sauce.
Serve the shredded pork with warm corn tortillas, radishes, pickled jalapenos, pico de gallo, hot sauce, lime wedges and cilantro leaves.

Ingredients

  • ½ lb ground beef
  • 1 can Pillsbury refrigerated classic pizza crust
  • 2 tablespoons Old El Paso™ taco seasoning mix (from 1-oz package)
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, sour cream, onion, and guacamole

 

 

Instructions – Makes 18 Taco Rolls

 

  • Preheat oven to 400 ° and lightly spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.
  • In a medium skillet, cook and brown beef until no longer pink. Drain. Add taco seasoning and water and cook for 2-3 minutes. Set aside and cool slightly before using.
  • Take pizza dough out of its package and unroll it onto a flat surface. Slightly roll or press the pizza dough out into a rectangle.
  • Add the taco meat evenly on top of the pizza dough. Sprinkle the cheese evenly on top.
  • Starting with the long edge of the pizza dough, roll dough tightly up into a roll. Using a serrated knife, make about 1-inch slices along the roll, making about 18 rolls.
  • Place rolls on prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until tops are golden brown.
  • Serve immediately and top with desired toppings.

Norwegian Potato Flatbread (Lefse)

 

These Norwegian potato flatbreads, or lefse, as your average Vikings fan would call them, combine two of my favorite things in the world – bread, particularly flatbread, and potatoes.

 

Ingredients

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Line an oven-safe skillet or baking pan with aluminum foil.
  2. Poke the potato skin all over with a knife and place on the prepared pan.
  3. Roast in the preheated oven until very tender and easily pierced with a knife, about 1 hour. Let sit until cool enough to handle but still very warm.
  4. Scoop potato flesh out into a bowl. Mash smooth with the back of a spatula until there are no lumps left. You can also use a potato ricer. Add the butter and mix until it disappears. Add the salt, sugar, and cream; mix until smooth. Cover and refrigerate until chilled, about 2 hours.
  5. Mix in flour in several additions until the dough is able to be kneaded by hand. Add enough flour to form a soft, but not too sticky, dough. You need to be able to roll it out fairly thin without it falling apart.
  6. Wrap dough with plastic and refrigerate until chilled, about 1 hour.
  7. Divide dough into 8 portions. Dust each with flour and roll out onto a well-floured kitchen towel to 1/8-inch thick, or thinner.
  8. Heat a very lightly buttered nonstick pan over medium-high heat. Cook the lefse in the hot pan, poking the surface lightly with a fork, until golden brown blisters form, 2 to 3 minutes per side. Stack on a plate as they’re cooked and keep covered with a towel. Serve warm.

These Parmesan potato stacks makes a great side dish or appetizer that your family and guests will definitely enjoy. They are very flavorful due to the thyme, garlic and parmesan which always pair well with potatoes. If you don’t like thyme feel free to use any other herbs you prefer like rosemary, oregano or basil.

Ingredients:
Makes about 4-6 servings
3 tbsp (45g) butter, melted
2 tbsp (25g) Parmesan cheese
1 tsp (3g) garlic powder
1 tsp thyme leaves
salt and freshly ground black pepper
8-10 gold potatoes (1.4 kg) sliced thin (about 1/16 inch -1.6 mm thick)

Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190C). Butter 12 muffin cups and set aside. Cut the potatoes into thin slices, preferably using a mandoline.

2. Place potato slices into a large bowl. Add melted butter, Parmesan cheese, thyme, garlic, salt and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.

3. Layer the potato slices into stacks and place in the prepared muffin cups. Sprinkle some freshly ground black pepper.

4. Bake until the edges and tops are golden brown and the centers are tender, 55 minutes to 1 hour.

5. Remove from the oven, let them rest for 5 minutes then remove from pan and garnish with parmesan cheese and thyme.

Baked Chicken Parmesan Dip

If you love chicken Parmesan, you’ll love this cheesy baked dip.

 

Ingredients

  1. Drain ricotta cheese in a mesh strainer set over a bowl in the refrigerator, 8 hours to overnight.
  2. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
  3. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and cayenne.
  4. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Cook chicken breasts in the hot oil until browned and just barely cooked through, about 6 minutes per side. Turn off heat and splash in cold water, stirring to deglaze. Transfer chicken and pan drippings into a bowl to let cool, about 5 minutes. Dice or shred the chicken.
  5. Combine drained ricotta cheese, salt, pepper, 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, 8 ounces Monterey Jack cheese, and 1 ounce Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese in a bowl. Mix with a spoon to evenly distribute. Add chicken, the pan drippings, and marinara sauce. Mix with a fork until just combined.
  6. Combine bread crumbs and remaining olive oil in the bowl used for the chicken and mix to coat.
  7. Transfer chicken mixture to an ungreased baking dish. Top with oiled crumbs, 2 tablespoons Parmesan, 2 tablespoons mozzarella, and 2 tablespoons Monterey Jack cheese.
  8. Bake in the center of the preheated oven until browned and bubbly, about 20 minutes.
  9. Let rest for 10 minutes. Garnish with parsley and serve with a spoon or spreading knife.

  • While breasts are the classic cut to use for chicken Parmesan, this would also work beautifully with skinless, boneless thighs, or you can pick up a rotisserie chicken and pull the meat off it.
  • You can use cream cheese instead of ricotta, if you like.

Chris Makes Kale Pesto Pasta

Join Chris Morocco in the Bon Appétit Test Kitchen as he makes pasta with kale pesto. Substitute pine nuts for the walnuts if you’d like. To serve with pasta, stir in ½ cup pasta cooking liquid to the pesto until smooth and toss to coat, or serve as a topping for chicken.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 large bunch Tuscan kale, ribs and stems removed
  • Kosher salt
  • 12 oz. farro pasta or whole wheat pasta
  • ⅓ cup raw pistachios
  • ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 oz. Parmesan, finely grated, plus more for serving
  • 2 Tbsp. unsalted butter
  • Freshly ground black pepper

RECIPE PREPARATION

  • Cook kale leaves in a large pot of boiling salted water until bright green and wilted, about 30 seconds. Transfer to a rimmed baking sheet with tongs; keep water boiling. Let kale cool slightly; wring out excess water with your hands.

  • Cook pasta in pot of boiling water, stirring occasionally, until al dente.

  • Blend nuts, oil, garlic, and ⅓ cup water in a blender or food processor until very smooth. Add kale and 1 oz. Parmesan. Purée, adding water 1 Tbsp. at a time as needed, until smooth. Transfer pesto to a large bowl.

  • Using tongs, transfer pasta to bowl with pesto; add butter and ⅓ cup pasta cooking liquid. Toss, adding more pasta cooking liquid by the tablespoonful if needed, until sauce coats pasta. Divide among bowls; top with more Parmesan and a few grinds of pepper.
